The main highway through northwest Montana is Highway 2 which travels from north Idaho through Troy, Libby, and Kalispell. The Kootenai River follows Highway 2 from Troy to Libby. The Yaak is one of the farthest northwest communities in Montana and can be accessed from either Troy or Libby.
